I grudgingly  force myself to go on the exercise bike but  burning calories would be much more fun on this bobby dazzler from Made! You can just imagine popping out on a Saturday morning and pootling about on this lovely vintage-style bike.

Unfortunately, in the real world I’m too scared of getting splatted to ride on roads and I have nowhere to keep a bike, so it’s back to the monotony of the gym for me, but in my mind I will be swanning around on this beauty.

The bike costs £179, although I think it looks a lot more expensive and according to Made, the high street price would be £549. Made.com keep their costs down by cutting out the retailer and the manufacturer and supplying direct.

I’d love my house to be more vintage-inspired and I do have a few pieces that I love but I’m just not that confident with vintage furniture shopping. Dresses and trinkets, I know where I am – I have a better idea of what is worth what, how it would look on and whether it’s in good nick/fixable. And, apart from anything else, I often just can’t afford vintage furniture pieces.

Shoot me down if you like, but I’ll hold my hands up – I love IKEA and I often find they have some lovely vintage-style pieces.

I am currently coveting this bureau for my office, which I spend a significant amount of time in these days!

IKEA Hemnes bureau: £199

It comes in black-brown and grey-brown too but I think the white has the most vintagey, shabby-chic look.

I also really like this linen cabinet, but it’s too big for my little house (things in IKEA always seem to be much bigger in real life than they look on the site/in the catalogue.

IKEA Hemnes Linen Cabinet: £209

I am loving Hobbs’ latest NW3 range, especially as it has some really quirky vintage-inspired pieces. It’s true they’re not cheap but I did splash out on the gorgeous horse dress and I have to say the quality is excellent and I know I will wear it loads.

I am a total sucker for a good print so I particularly love these two frocks:

NW3 Richmond Dress: £139.00

This is the one I treated myself too and initially I feared it could look somewhat frumpy but I wore it with a blue cardigan, brown flats and a navy vintage handbag and was pleased with the outfit. I might try it with coloured tights in the autumn.

Horses and birds are two of my favourite prints (predictable, I know!) so naturally I also love this birdy one but there’s no way I can justify the expense. As a matter of interest, I think umbrellas might round off my top three prints.
